GROWING A FAMILY BUSINESS

Meadowside Nursery has nurtured and sold plants and flowers for many years, and we’ve been based here at Carnon Downs near Truro since 2003. Over the years, we’ve grown from trading flowers on a stall at several farmers’ markets into a thriving family business selling vegetables, plants and cut flowers to hundreds of local customers every week.

In 2020 we were unable to go to the market – so we brought the market to us! We set-up on site at Meadowside, installed parking and a COVID-safe one-way shopping system. And as summer progressed we flourished in our new surroundings. As well as welcoming many familiar faces, new customers have chosen to shop directly here with us on site.

Our car park allows for a comfortable distance between cars, and we have a new covered area to protect our customers from the elements in the winter months. Meadowside grows the vegetables and flowers that our customers love and we are pleased to offer a good choice all year round.
